Hello GoodLife Ireland has announced that its newest Health & Wellbeing Hub will open in Newport in early January, bringing an inclusive, community-centred and holistic approach to health and wellbeing to the local area.
The Hello GoodLife Hub model is built around accessible, power-assisted exercise, designed to support people of all ages and abilities to move safely and confidently. The low-impact equipment helps improve strength, mobility, balance and cardiovascular health, while also supporting mental wellbeing and social connection.
The Newport hub will offer a welcoming, non-intimidating environment, particularly suited to older adults, people living with chronic conditions, those recovering from illness or injury, and individuals who may feel excluded by traditional gym settings.
Speaking ahead of the opening, Martina Calvey, CEO of Hello GoodLife, said:
“Hello GoodLife is about creating spaces where people feel supported, included and empowered to take control of their health in a way that works for them. The Newport hub will offer a gentle but effective approach to exercise, combined with social connection and community support, which we know plays a vital role in overall wellbeing. We’re really looking forward to welcoming the Newport community and seeing the positive impact this hub can have locally.”
Hello GoodLife Ireland currently operates successful Health & Wellbeing Hubs in Castlebar and Roscommon, along with a strong community-based hub in Bunninadden, Co. Sligo. Building on this momentum, further hubs are planned for 2026, as the organisation continues to expand its network of accessible, community-focused wellbeing spaces across Ireland.
In addition to the physical health benefits, the Hello GoodLife Health & Wellbeing Hub places a strong emphasis on social wellbeing, helping to reduce isolation and foster meaningful connections within local communities.
The Hello GoodLife Health & Wellbeing Hub Newport will open in early January, with further details on memberships, timetables and open days to be announced shortly.
