About
Hello GoodLife Ireland
Hello GoodLife is a pioneering Irish health and wellbeing initiative created by Martina Calvey and her partner Seamus Davitt, focused on supporting communities through holistic, preventative and inclusive health solutions.
The Hello GoodLife model centres around accessible, power-assisted exercise hubs designed to improve physical, mental, and social wellbeing — for everybody; older adults, people living with chronic conditions, those with limited mobility and those who find a conventional gym environment intimidating. Innerva’s power-assisted exercise machines also have a rehabilitation function, making them suitable for a wide range of population groups, from those recovering from illness or injury to individuals simply looking to maintain their health and independence.
With a growing network of hubs in Castlebar, Roscommon and Bunninadden, Co. Sligo, Hello GoodLife enables individuals to proactively manage their health and well‑being through structured movement sessions, facilitated social interaction over tea and conversation and ongoing peer support. Underpinned by a robust ethos of social enterprise, volunteerism and community leadership, the Hello GoodLife model is fully adaptable — operating as a grassroots, community‑driven programme or alternatively, as a commercial offering delivered in partnership with local authorities, private gyms and community centres.

My Personal Journey

“Our mission is simple: to empower everyBODY on their journey to a healthier, more vibrant life…”
Martina Calvey
CEO, Hello GoodLife Ireland
I’ve always believed that life is for living — but for many years, my own health challenges stood in the way of that belief.
Diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis at just 22, I was told it would soon confine me to a wheelchair. Refusing to accept that future, I searched for ways to fight back. That search led me to discover Innerva’s power-assisted exercise equipment — a discovery that changed everything. With regular use, my symptoms eased, and I enjoyed two decades of remission. Even when cancer struck and the arthritis returned with a vengeance, robbing me of my mobility and independence, I knew where to turn. The strength and hope I’d found through power-assisted exercise became the foundation of my recovery.
That personal experience is why I founded Hello GoodLife Wellbeing. With my partner, Seamus, I set out to bring Innerva’s life-changing equipment to Ireland. Our mission is simple – to make movement, health and community accessible to everyone, no matter their age, ability or health condition. I know first-hand the isolation and frustration that comes from being excluded by traditional gyms. Hello GoodLife is my way of ensuring that no one else feels that way. We’re here to build a welcoming space where people can take control of their health, connect with others and rediscover the joy of movement – because I believe everyone deserves the chance to live well.
